Mariana's Story

My parents brought me and my 2 older brothers to the United States From Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1965. I was just 2 years old. They left all of our relatives behind while we started a new life in Salt Lake City. It was an unlikely place for Argentine Jews to settle. Over the next decade and a half, we moved in California and New York, always for my dad’s jobs as he earned an upper middle class living and we were all educated. I have. A Ph.D in Molecular Biology and work in biotech in Boston. My younger sister is the only one who can legally be president as she was born in the US.
